I've benn fishing in the broad channel area since I was * yrs old I love that area and have a brother who is a lieutenant with nypd who live's in the area. I would like to keep in touch with some of the fisherman in the area. I am now retired and live in central PA and still travel 4 hours to fish there. any good fishing spot's would be appreciated. It's a shame we cannot fish off the marine park bridge, it use to be one of my favorite's for big strippers and bluefish. The only negative is about crossbay bait and tackle. The people who use to run the place had a personality. Now the info from there suck's, they are over priced, and the last 5 time's I asked for fresh bunker and what they sold me was mush. It's a real shame.

All my relatives lived in Broad Channel, it was the greatest, safest, and fun place to be. My relatives made it special, but the Channel had plenty to offer. Iam 57 years old, but remember everything about it. Everytime I think of swimming, a fishing it makes me feel like a kid again. Love Harriet Keller

Search for BC brought me to this site. My father was born in BC, as well as my sister. 740 Cross Bay Blvd. Our family lived in that house until I was 5. Came back to visit my cousin Terry Horn and family In April. Brought my daughter with us. She fell in love with BC. Area looks great. I don't come back as often as I should. Minneapolis Mn is now home. Tell my cousin Terry Horn that his cousin Jack Shannon says he's a bum.

I've been living here 2 yrs. & just found this cite in the UCO flyer. I love B.C. It's a place that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time (a place where the people are friendly & you know who your neighbors are). I enjoyed reading the news articles (however, I don't agree with the writer who called Coogan's waitresses "crabby"; I think they're great)
