The St.Virgilius Kids Putting On the Hits will be April 17, 2005 to be held in the American Legion. It starts at 1:00pm. Tickets are $10.00 per person. Music provided by DJ Tom Healy Acts can still be added ages 4 thru 17. We are happy to say we added a teen category this year. For tickets or to participate call: Margaret A. Seems as though TidelinesOnline.com has terminated the online tide chart for Jamaica Bay! Unbelievable huh? .. I just had a dead chart on the site for weeks, so I removed it.
I wrote a letter requesting it to be reactivated -with no reply. We'll see what turns up.
P.S.
Karen, please tell your dad that I received his email and replied to it... I've been having a bit of difficulty getting AOL bound email out from my server for the past few weeks. I've contacted my ISP and they're working on the problem.

It was a unanimous vote tonight, by Community Board 14 to give their support for the proposed Medical Facility. Thank you to those who came tonight to lend their support for the project and thank you to those Broad Channel residents who serve on this board. I am very excited to see what Broad Channel will look like without that eyesore!!!

While sitting in my mail truck monday,4/18, in front of 629 Cross Bay, a black man approached me, said something to me and I noticed his penis was sticking out of his zipper with a condom on. I started screaming and he nonchalantly walked away. A couple was walking towards me and I asked them if he still had it exposed but they hadn't noticed. They followed him, kept their distance and I called 911. They arrested him and he kept telling them he did nothing wrong except he still had the condom on. I had charges pressed on him and they locked him up... My fear was, what if I had been a child and he did that... who knows what he was planning. Thank God he had no chance to hurt someone... My only fear now is that he knows I'm the mail lady down here and he knows how to find me. I'm writing this in the Guestbook to let the residents know of what happened.

Kathleen, ... I removed the post. Just a note that the IP address you referrenced was a rotating AOL IP address for our area. Dial-up AOL users constantly get that same IP reissued when they log on. The last person to use it wasn't necessarily the last person who posted here. Just an FYI.

The Broad Channel Athletic Club Jamaica Bay Little League will be having it's 6th Annual Parade down Crossbay Blvd. on April 30, 2005. We will be meeting at 10:00am at the 17th Road Park and march down to Memorial Field. This year our club is honoring Mr. Patrick Minihan. Pat was a great member of the BCAC, he was a coach and also helped the club build our fieldhouse. Pat and his family were always on the field, he will truly be missed by all of us. This year our Sponsor of the Year is Barbara Morris of West End Realty. Barbara has been supporting our club for as far back as I can remember. Not only does she sponsor a little league team she's also a sponsor for football. Barbara never forgets the children!! Great Job once again to our Little League president Jimmy Trudden!!! His board Joel Miele, Dawn McIntyer,Robert Carricata and John Bil. They have volunteered many many hours so our kids can play ball in their own town!!! Please spread the word about the day of the parade and we'll see you on the field!!!!
